2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee bookings open in India; production begins

Jeep India today announced that the 5th-gen Grand Cherokee production has begun at its manufacturing facility in Ranjangaon, Pune. Bookings for the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee is now open on the Jeep India website and at select Jeep dealerships across the country. The SUV will go on sale in showrooms soon, while deliveries will start by the end of this month.
The all-new Grand Cherokee will be the fourth Made in India product after the Jeep Compass, Meridian and Wrangler. The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will come equipped with a host of features, such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
As far as the interior is concerned, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with HVAC vents, a 10-inch Heads Up display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen radio, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display. Other key interior features include Capri leather seats and large panoramic sunroof.
Another notable feature of the 5th generation Jeep Grand Cherokee is the Quadra-Trac 4×4 system coupled with Selec-Terrain traction management system. Internationally, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is powered by multiple engine and transmission options. The India-spec model is expected to make use of a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
