All upcoming cars in November 2022: From new Innova to MG Hector


The Indian Automotive Industry has witnessed a host of new car launches and some big unveil
this year, but there is certainly no slowing down. The month of November will be significant for the Indian automobile industry, with a range of cars and SUVs lined up to either be launched or at least be unveiled.
Let’s take a look at upcoming cars in November 2022.
1. Toyota Innova Hycross
TKM is all set to unveil the new Toyota Innova Hycross in the Indian market on November 25th.
The new Toyota Innova will sport the ‘Hycross’ suffix while ditching the Crysta suffix. The new Innova is expected to be offered with a 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre NA petrol engine with hybrid technology.

Dimensionally, we expect the new Toyota Innova Hycross to measure 4.7 metres in length and will get a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Like the current-gen Innova, it will feature a multiple-seat layout as well as a spacious cabin, some of the key features of the MPV.
Toyota Innova Hycross will be based on the TNGA-C monocoque architecture. It is expected to be lighter than the Innova Crysta and will have an FWD configuration.
In terms of features, expect the Toyota Innova Hycross to come with an 8-inch infotainment system, 360 camera, semi-digital instrument cluster and an electric sunroof.
2. Praviag’s electric SUV
Bengaluru-based start-up, Pravaig recently announced that it will be unveiling its new electric SUV.
The name of the e-SUV is still unknown but Pravaig claims a driving range of more than 500 km with a top speed of over 200 kmph and the company also claims that the SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 4.3 seconds.

Talking about the design, the SUV looks sharp and aggressive. At the front, it gets slim LED headlights and the front wheel arches have been flared. The SUV gets 5-spoke Alloy wheels and at the rear, it gets a light bar running throughout the width of the rear.
The company claims that the SUV will have fast charging capabilities and cab juice up the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes and will have a driving range of up to 504 Km.
Talking about the features, the electric SUV will get a touchscreen infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, 220V sockets for charging devices, an air quality index with a PM 2.5 air filter, and wireless charging.
3. MG Hector Facelift
MG Motor India recently launched the facelifted MG Gloster to the Indian market and now the company is ready to roll out the new and updated MG Hector.
The updated MG Hector will get a revised front end with a large “Argyle-inspired” diamond-mesh grille with prominent chrome surrounds at the grille’s top.

Moving on to the interior, the SUV will now feature a massive 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with embedded e-sim. Apart from that, the SUV will get a revised dashboard design with new horizontal AC vents, a centre console with a new flowing design, and a new gear lever. a centre console with a new flowing design.
The updated MG Hector is also expected to get Level-2 ADAS tech which includes lane keep assist, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning and lane departure warning.
Mechanically no changes are expected, the SUV will be offered with two 143hp, 1.5-litre petrol engines – one with mild-hybrid technology – and a Fiat-derived 2.0-litre multijet turbo Diesel engine which produces 170 bhp of power.
The 2022 MG Hector is likely to be priced around Rs 1.5 lakh-2 lakh more than the current model. When launched, the SUV continues to compete with Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Nissan Kicks.
4. BYD Atto 3
BYD recently unveiled its second electric vehicle to the Indian market. The bookings for the EV have already started, the deliveries of the Atto 3 is going to start early next year and BYD is expected to officially launch the EV towards the end of November.
The BYD Atto 3 features a 60.48 kWh Blade battery that can charge from 0-80 per cent in just 50 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger. Charging the Atto 3 using a home AC charger will take up to 10 hours. It also gets a VTOL mobile power station function that allows the Atto 3’s battery pack to be used as a power bank to support devices and appliances of up to 3.3 kWh.
The electric SUV features a single PMS motor delivering 150 kW (201 hp) of power and 310 Nm of torque, it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. The Atto 3 has an ARAI-certified range of 521 km on a full charge, it also features regenerative braking.

Talking about the features, the EV will get a panoramic sunroof, electronically powered tailgate, electrically powered and heated ORVMs, powered front seats, adaptive LED headlamps, multi-colour ambient lighting, Keyless entry and go with NFC card function and a lot more. It even gets a PM 2.5 filter and an air purifier for a healthy commute in city environments.
Among standard safety features such as 7 airbags, TMPS, ABS with EBD and Hill Control, the BYD Atto 3 also features 6 radars placed around the vehicle that offer Level 2 ADAS capabilities. Advanced safety systems such as automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warning, blind spot detection and lane keep assist will be onboard the electric SUV.
5. Jeep Grand Cherokee
Jeep India recently opened bookings for the new Grand Cherokee. The SUV will be launched in India on November 17. Upon arrival, the Grand Cherokee will go on to become the brand’s fourth offering in India, joining the likes of Compass, Meridian and Wrangler.
The company has released a teaser video of the car on its official social media handles with the tagline “Coming Soon”. Just like Jeep’s other products in India, the Grand Cherokee will also likely be made in India. That said, we expect Jeep to import CKD (completely knocked down) kits of the SUV and assemble it here itself, similar to what it does with the Wrangler.

That said, since the Grand Cherokee is already available in foreign markets, we have a fair idea of what the India-spec version of the SUV could be packed with. The powertrains on offer with the Grand Cherokee internationally include a 3.6-litre V6 that puts out 293 hp and 353 Nm or a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 producing 360 horsepower and 529 Nm. There’s also a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol plug-in hybrid rated at 375 hp/637 Nm available with the 4xe variants.
The Grand Cherokee can be had with either an RWD configuration or an all-wheel drive layout, and the SUV is offered with both 5-seat (two-row) and 7-seat (three-row) setups. We expect Jeep to offer the Grand Cherokee in India with either the 2.0-litre turbo petrol or the 3.6-litre V6 engine, with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
