Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Review: Good to fight off diesel SUVs?
The Glanza hatchback will be offered with CNG in only two variants – G & S. The lower-end S trim costs Rs. 8.43 lakh (ex-showroom), while the G trim comes in at Rs. 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Both variants are only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and cost Rs 95,000 more than their regular petrol counterparts. As of now, there is no news of CNG being offered with an automatic.
The CNG avatar of the Glanza looks the same as the existing model and boasts the same feature set as well. What has changed are the power and torque outputs. The 1.2-litre engine produces 76.4hp and 98.5Nm which is lesser than the petrol model. However, this reduction in engine performance comes with significantly better efficiency as the Glanza CNG is said to deliver 30.61km/kg.
Toyota also has plans to launch the CNG model of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder soon. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder was the latest all-new product from the manufacturer and is already available in a different configurations including mild-hybrid, strong-hybrid and AWD. With the addition of the CNG model, it will be a vehicle with one of the widest variety of choices. Even the Urban Cruiser Hyryder will get the E-CNG technology in the S and G trims. The SUV will continue to be powered by a 1.5-litre motor and will be only available with a 5-speed manual like the Glanza. While we do not have the prices just yet, we do know that it will have a claimed mileage of 26.1kg/km
