Yamaha has updated its entry-level R125 supersport motorcycle to put it in line with the company’s latest design language. The new R125 gets a range of updates, including new styling that is inspired by the R1 and R7 superbikes.
The 2022 R125 now also looks similar to the India-spec R15 V4, with a projector headlamp in the middle, flanked by LED DRLs on either side. it gets the same central projector headlamp flanked by two LED DRLs. Other changes include a slightly beefier fairing, and a plastic exhaust cover. The motorcycle gets a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.
Powering the R125, as the name suggests, is a 125 cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine that belts out 15 PS of max power at 10,000 rpm along with 11.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike makes use of a steel deltabox frame that is suspended on upside-down front forks with 130 mm travel and a rear-monoshock with 110 mm travel.
