Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 spied with hard panniers: To be revealed on November 8

Royal Enfield is all set to reveal the new Super Meteor 650 on November 8th at the 2022 EICMA (Milan Motorcycle Show), and just days ahead of the launch, the cruiser motorcycle has been spied yet again. This time around, the Super Meteor 650 has been spotted being equipped with large plastic panniers – something which will likely be offered as an official accessory.
Unlike the panniers offered by Royal Enfield with other bikes, the ones seen here are custom, and can be extremely beneficial for touring. The panniers have an indent at the rear for the turn indicators. The motorcycle’s dual exhaust setup, as well as the circular LED tail lamp are also visible in this latest spy shot. Other accessories on offer could include a pannier rack, saddles, a backrest, touring mirrors, touring seat, engine guards, windshield, LED turn indicators, as well as the Tripper navigation system.

The Super Meteor 650 will be equipped with the same 648 cc twin-cylinder engine as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This engine generates 47 hp of max power and 52 Nm of peak torque, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The motorcycle will likely get upside-down front forks and twin rear springs as the suspension setup. The braking duties will be taken care of by single disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS.
The Super Meteor is one of the many new motorcycles Royal Enfield is planning to launch. Other upcoming RE bikes include the new-gen version of the Bullet based on the J-platform, Himalayan 450, Shotgun 650, as well as a 650 cc scrambler motorcycle.
